1. Browse our hand selected rental inventory, select your dress style & size and choose from 2 of our rental periods offered.
2. Check availability and select your rental start date on our live calendar.
3. Complete checkout and you're done! Your rental will arrrive at your front door in a reusable garmet bag, ready for your event!
4. At the end of your rental period simply package all items from your order back into the reusable packaging it arrived in and schedule a pickup or drop off with UPS on the last day of your rental period. We cover all return shipping and dry cleaning.
We offer two rental periods, 5 or 8 days. Your rental period does not include shipping times, so you are only paying for the rental from the start date you selected, and not while it is in transit.
Yes. We understand sometimes you need a piece longer than a 10 day period. If you need an extended rental time please reach out to our team at email@example.com and we will do our best to accommodate a custom rental duration.
This is what our insurance is for! Please do not attempt to dry clean any items yourself - we leave this to the professionals to ensure each piece looks brand new for it's next wearer. We highly recommend opting in for our rental insurance to cover any small accidents such as spills or stains.
Nope! Shipping (both ways) and rental insurance is included in our rental prices!
Our rental insurance covers any reversible small accidents or normal wear and tear (minimal staining, a loose button, small rips). It does not cover any damage that would deem the item unwearable, or that would cost a substantial amount to be fixed. It does not cover lost items. If an item is damaged beyond repair you are liable for paying the full retail value of that item.
As the pieces curated for our rental selections are generally sold out or speciality small batch designs we currently do not offer these pieces for sale. We may be hosting a sale on pieces that are being removed from our rentals collection in the future, you can sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know!
No. We accommodate for shipping times when sending out your rental. If you rental arrives a day or two early it does not reflect upon your rental time, and you have a few extra days with your dress! All rentals MUST be shipped out before noon on the last day of your rental period, or you are at risk of incurring late fees.
Simply pack up all items in the reusable garmet bag your order arrived in and affix the prepaid returns label included. You can then either drop it off at your nearest UPS location or schdule a pickup. Please note that rentals need to be dropped off or picked up by noon on the last day of your rental period. Items sent past this date will be considered late and you will be charged a late fee(s).
If your rental is returned late you will be charged a $50 late fee per day. This fee will be charged every day until your order arrives back in The Afterwhite studio, or up until the full retail value of the item is reached.If an item is not returned it will be considered stolen and lost item fees will apply.
If you've lost or not returned an item, it will be considered stolen and you will be liable for up to 200% of the retail price of the item.The items available for rent on our website are often sold out in all retail stores and no longer available from the designer. This has led to some people renting an item and not returning it, or saying it is lost, so that they are able to obtain something they want to keep. This, along with loss of earnings from potential future rentals, is why there is a fee of up to 200% of the retail perice for lost and unreturned items.
We do not accept order cancelations on rentals at this time. If you need to change the date or item please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to accomodate.
We offer rentals up to one week prior to a rental period starting. If you are needing something sooner please reach out to our team at hello@theafterwhite and we will do our best to accommodate.

Taking your specific measurements is the easiest way to ensure a perfect fit!You can also take advantage of our 24hr try-on offer, where you'll be able to actually feel and wear a style in person before fully committing. We are happy to credit the $50 try on fee to a future rental.
If your order doesn't fit please email our team at email@example.com as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate an alternate size before your event. Please note sending out a rush order on an alternate size may incur extra fees to the customer.
Yes! We offer a 24hr try-on rental period for $50. Once your order has arrived you will have 1 day to try on the dress style and size. 24hr rental items are not meant to be worn out of the house and must be shipped back the next day. If an item arrives back to The Afterwhite studio with the security tag removed, you are responsible for paying the full retail price of that item. If an item is not shipped back the next day regular late fees apply. Once returned, the $50 will be credited to a future rental.
No. Altering an Afterwhite rental in any way is strictly prohibited. If an item comes back altered, you are liable for covering the full retail cost of the item.
